19/05: one night in Takayama

these are like the nicest biscult i ever eaten.. haha

bought these at the hotel's family mart in Tokyo for the long journey..

bye Tokyo, hello Takayama!
we wake up early and drag all our luggages...
took a cab down to the bus station...
and a long bus journey all the way to Takayama..
we had lots of stops on the way...

on the way, the scenery is soooooo nice..
lots of farmland, rivers and mountains..

we travel thru lots of tunnels and narrow roads..
all uphill.. its like any moment, we can slip off the cliff..
how exciting.. lol

snow on the mountain top..
is damn cold!!

we knew we are soooo far away from Tokyo...
it sooo much different..
so much peaceful...

once we reach Takayama,
the weather there is much colder then in Tokyo...
the owner who owns his own Ryokan came to pick us up!

Ryokan is a traditional style of Japanese home life..
is it also like a Japanese style inn..
we stay in Japanese style rooms with tatami(straw matted) floor and a low table..
and we sleep on the futon (mattress)...
our Shoes are removed at the ryokan's main entrance..
and slippers are provided...
we are supposed to remove even our slippers before stepping onto tatami mats..
breakfast is served to us in a dinning room..
and also we get to enjoy ONSEN (hot spring)! either public or personal...

its the most relaxing one night i ever had...
i love the Ryokan alot..
the owners are super friendly and nice..

other then the Ryokan to relax and enjoy..
there is nothing much in Takayama...
its like a old town area..
houses in Takayama are big and beautiful
during the day...
we walk so much that our feet hurts.. lolx..

we had Ramen after a long walk..
trying hard to find the recommended Ramen place..
and finally we found it!

afer our dinner, we walk around...
sight seeing!...
we had ice cream in the cold chill-ly weather...
thanks to my uncle who buy for all of us..
we were like shivering and eating at the same time..
it was damn funny...

we took a cab back to the Ryokan because we lost our way back! haha
and it was getting really dark and freaky..
just like in the game.. FATAL FRAME.. lolx...

that night we just slack at the Ryokan.. NICE!
and breakfast is served at the dinning room..
very traditional...

it is carried around to protect children..

check out and we were send back to the train station by the owner again...
how nice of him...

to be continue... =)
