20/05 - 22/05: Kyoto..

i have yet to complete my updates for my japan trip.. lolx..
so here goes..

we left Takayama..
transfer differents subways and trains to reach Kyoto..
running alot.. cos we only got like 4 mins to transfer..
and furthermore its like sooo damn far.. lolx..









KYOTO!! - the home of many temples and shrines

i love kyoto..
reason being.. its a super peaceful place..
there is nothing else to see other then Temples and Shrines and also geisha..
just like in the movie, memoirs of a geisha..
love it..

anyway, we stayed in ANA hotel..
its in the centre of Kyoto..

so that we can travel around visiting some of the temples and shrines..
how i wish we can visit all of them..
too bad.. there is just too many!

my most favourite out of the few we visited...
Fushimi Inari Shrine!
i cant believe i actually went to see it!
as seen in the movie, memoirs of a geisha..
and indeed, its so magnificant!

"Fushimi Inari Shrine is the most famous of several thousands of shrines dedicated to Inari across Japan. Inari is the Shinto god of rice, and foxes are thought to be his messengers. Therefore, many fox statues can be found at Inari shrines.

Fushimi Inari Shrine is also famous for the countless torii gates, offerings by worshippers, that cover the hiking trails of Inarisan, the wooded mountain behind the shrine's main buildings. It takes about two hours to walk along the whole trail."
